Trade coverage of a milestone in Carefree's partnership with The QHotels Collection: more than 6,200 complimentary hotel breaks delivered to unpaid carers since 2022, with over a third of those in the past year alone. New research among carers who stayed found 94% reported improved wellbeing, 87% said they couldn't have taken a break otherwise, and 77% felt less socially isolated afterwards, with more than half not having had a break away in over three years beforehand. Carefree's Director of Delivery, Miruna Harpa, notes that 77% of carers say their break helped prevent them reaching crisis point, and puts the social value of each donated stay at £2,577.
